LUKE KOTERAS

A phenomenally vibrant performer with a contemporary edge who will amaze you with fiery, percussive guitar playing and soulful vocals.

With a list of accomplishments that belie his years, Luke Koteras has already built an impressive reputation here and overseas as a guitarist, singer/songwriter, session musician and successful recording artist. Whispers of his potential started to spread when he scored recording time with “Foghorn Records” at the age of 17. In 2004 Luke toured China with jazz funk outfit “dlivr”. Subsequently he met with great success as a solo artist in a lengthy stint across Europe, Africa and Thailand which included the hallowed UK club “the Cavern”.

Back home and busy with diverse projects, Luke can be heard at venues such as The Basement, The Vanguard, Lizottes and the Arthouse. He is also a regular at major festivals including the FUSE in Adelaide. With 4 albums under his own name Luke has guested on numerous others, lending his virtuosity to the mix, and established himself as a significant artist.

KINETIC METHOD

As Kinetic Method Luke performs with Byron Mark in an electro-acoustic duo style that is both alternative and dance-oriented. Byron moves between sensitive keyboard work and percussion fury while singing harmonies.

Together they create a surprising wall of sound for just two people. Hot on the heels of their 2009 self titled debut dance album Luke and Byron are currently in the final stages of an unplugged album. Whether it is music for a chill-out lounge environment or tunes to make the dance floor come to life, Kinetic Method can cater for all styles. Immensely popular with a younger crowd their shows are unlike no other and always leave audiences wanting more.
